The Professional Women's Business Exchange (PWBE), has experienced
dynamic growth since our beginning in 1993, when five women started meeting
in Walnut Creek. Their goal was to develop a networking group that would
support women and help them grow their businesses. The second chapter
was established in San Ramon in 1997.
PWBE is exceptionally diverse, not only in the types of businesses represented,
but also in their size and longevity. Former and current members include financial advisors,
pet care businesswomen, realtors, landscapers, psychotherapists, attorneys, artists,
a feng shui professional, cosmetic professionals, fashion consultants, personal health advisors
and many more.
PWBE is a nonprofit organization. Our goal is to encourage women to support
each other in their chosen fields. Our meetings serve as a forum for the exchange
of ideas and information. Each chapter meets bimonthly and most meetings include
a presentation by a member about her business.
Women have found these regular meetings to be an effective source of leads and
referrals. PWBE has continued to grow as an organization because they focus on
growing their members and businesses. |
